Restaurant Review | Evaristo on the Algarve beach

If you’re into grilled fish, add this one to your bucketlist. This afternoon we had grilled sea bass  – robalo – for lunch at one of our favourites along the Algarve coast, Evaristo. Located right on the beach and a little bit secluded. I like that.
Upon entering you’ll have to pass senhor João and his fresh fish, neatly arranged on display. Pick your desired fish (bring your wallet, no cheap meals here) and place your order with him. After this you’ll be escorted to your table and drinks can be ordered.

Chocolate Mousse
Weak as I am, my almost-no-sugar philosophy is very hard to sustain around places like this. Hence the picture of the chocolate mousse. I definitely have a soft spot for homemade chocolate mousse. Didn’t touch the almond cake though, can resist that one easily. Mr. B on the other hand…

In higher season it’s recommended to make a reservation. It is not my favourite season, because it is very crowded around this time and the staff isn’t that friendly anymore because they are too busy.

How to get there
Follow signs for Praia de Castelo (north of Albufeira) and turn right at the sign Praia Evaristo and follow the winding road until you see a parking space on the right. And the sea at your left. Bom apetite!
