MÁDARA cosmetics is a Latvian manufacturer of organic skincare, haircare, and baby care products.
The ingredients include biologically certified blossoms and herbal extracts from the Northern and Baltic regions. The brand name MADARA is the Latvian name for a common inhabitant of Baltic meadows – Galium mollugo, commonly known as bedstraw or wild madder. Its spatial pattern or fractal is also depicted in the logo of MADARA Cosmetics which received the EULDA/WOLDA award and the title “Best of Latvia” in 2007.
The high-quality serum contains an essence that is made up of a unique lactobacillus strain, mushroom beta-glucans, provitamin D, and polyphenol essence from the Madara plant that restricts dehydration, balances the skin’s microbiome, and counteracts oxidative stress. The skin appears more supple, even, and brighter. Redness is drastically reduced.
My own experience
Unfortunately, I have to deal with a very dry and sensitive skin. Finding an adequate skincare routine became a real challenge after my 40th. I had the opportunity to try the Time Miracle Radiant Shield Day Cream and the Time Miracle Reface Sleep&Peel and I loved it. It arrived in a nice, recyclable box. The lusciously rich formula has a whipped texture that doesn’t feel thick or greasy. The refined serum works to diminish signs of aging, while you sleep. Mildly exfoliates and unveils smoother and plumper-looking skin after one night. My skin felt less dry and looked healthy and radiant. Also loved the fact that the products are organic and natural.
Madara founder Lotte Tisenkopfa-Iltnere started her company out of frustration with the lack of organic and natural beauty products in her home country. From a simple bar of soap, the company now produces a wide range of products from skincare, haircare, and cosmetics –all free from harmful chemicals and preservatives, not tested on animals, and certified by Ecocert.
Madara is the Latvian name for a delicate green flowering plant that bears tiny white blossoms and starry-shaped leaves, known as ‘cleavers’. It’s the plants’ delicate and fragile beauty that led Lotte to name her company after it, and the company prides itself on the blossoms and herbs, both cultivated and wild-crafted, that go into its products.
The company has won many plaudits both for its products and for its clean, recyclable packaging. All Madara products contain typical Baltic herbs and plants like calendula, plantain, and rosehip, which are powerful and effective in protecting the skin.
